Mathew 6 : 24-25

24 No man can serve two masters; for either he shall hate the one, and love the
other, or else he shall lean to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God
and riches.
25 Therefore I say unto you, be not careful for your life, what ye shall eat, or
what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life
more worth than meat? And the body than raiment?

John 4:4

4 (3) Ye adulterers and (*) adulteresses, know ye not that the amity of the world is
the enmity of God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world, maketh
himself the enemy of God. Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Romans 12:2

And fashion not yourselves like unto this world, but be ye changed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good, and
acceptable and perfect will of God.
